Wichita State Game at INTRUST Bank Arena Officially Sold Out
WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State and the INTRUST Bank Arena ticket office announced
Thursday that all seats for Saturday’s 5 p.m. game between No. 8 WSU and Saint Louis have
been sold.
“We are so appreciative of the continuous support that the community shows to the
Shockers,” said WSU Director of Athletics, Dr. Eric Sexton. “To sell out in advance of the
game speaks to something very special happening at Wichita State and in Wichita and its
surrounding communities. It is a pleasure to work with our great partners at INTRUST
Bank Arena to offer this exciting opportunity to the Shocker Nation.”
This is the Shockers’ first sellout at INTRUST Bank Arena. They’ve played there once
annually since the building opened in 2010.
“We’re thrilled to be hosting Wichita State men’s basketball in downtown Wichita for the
fifth consecutive year,” commented AJ Boleski, INTRUST Bank Arena General Manager.
“The arena is always electric when the Shockers are here. Being a sold out game with
15,004 fans should make this year’s the most exciting yet.”
The Shockers drew 14,356 for their game with Tennessee last December to set their
previous downtown attendance mark. A 2010 meeting with Tulsa, less than a year after the
arena’s opening, drew 14,112.
Saturday’s game is available to Cox Cable subscribers on Cox Channel Kansas (channel 22,
HD 2022) and to Shocker Vision subscribers on GoShockers.com. Fans from outside the Cox
viewing area can also stream the game via ESPN3.com.
