INTRUST Bank Arena Ranked As #1 Top Stop In The Midwest in 2013 By Venues Today
The SMG-managed INTRUST Bank Arena ranked #1 in the Midwest in 2013 according to the Venues Today 2013 Top Stops for venues with seating capacities 10,001-15,000. The rankings, announced in the January edition of the trade publication, are based on concert and event gross ticket sales from January 1, 2013 through December 31, 2013 as reported to Venues Today.
“It was an incredible year for INTRUST Bank Arena,” said SMG General Manager A.J. Boleski. “Thank you to the entire community who continue to support and attend our events and to the promoters and agents who continue to bring events to our facility. This #1 ranking is a direct reflection of the tremendous amount of time and energy that our entire team put forth this past year.”
In 2013, INTRUST Bank Arena set record ticket sales numbers for four separate events in 2013 including Cirque du Soleil (Jan 2-Jan 6), Harlem Globetrotters (Jan 25), Disney On Ice (Mar 14-17) and Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus (May 30-Jun 2). INTRUST Bank Arena also hosted three events in 2013 which were nationally televised; the Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Chicago Bulls NBA Preseason game (Oct 23, ESPN), Wichita State University vs. Tennessee men’s basketball game (Dec 14, ESPN2), Kansas State University vs. Gonzaga men’s basketball game (Dec 21, ESPN2).
