3rd Annual Wichita Ribfest Fires Up This Weekend

(Wichita, Kan.) – The third annual Wichita Ribfest, an SMG promoted event, kicks off this Friday and runs through Sunday. Wichita Ribfest is an outdoor festival featuring award-winning barbeque and music and is located just east of INTRUST Bank Arena in City Lot D.

Event admission is a one-time fee of $5 per person and includes entry for all three days of the festival, with children 5 and under admitted for free. Guests can enjoy $2 lunch admission Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., courtesy of Go Wichita. Admission will be free on Saturday to Brantley Gilbert ticket holders for the concert at INTRUST Bank Arena that night and military personnel with ID can enjoy buy one get one free admission. On Sunday, admission will be free to guests with a 2014 Riverfest button. Admission allows entrance into Wichita Ribfest and includes entertainment and several other activities. Ribs, barbeque and other food items and beverages are available for purchase. Some activities will require an additional fee. Hours for the event are 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Sunday.

Other aspects of the event include a beer garden, a kid’s play-area, Pepsi Sports Zone, local vendors and more.
