Hillard Honored With 2017 HR Professionals Award
Kim Hillard, SMG Human Resources Manager at INTRUST Bank Arena, is one of 24 Wichita-area human resources professionals being recognized by the Wichita Business Journal in the 2017 HR Professionals awards. The award honors human resources professionals who are contributing to their companies, their industry and to the community. The group recognized in 2017 is the largest in the program’s history.
“Kim is a valued member of the INTRUST Bank Arena and SMG team,” said SMG Assistant General Manager, Chris Kibler. “She has been with us since the venue opened and we are so fortunate to have her experience and expertise on our team. We are very proud to see Kim honored by the Wichita Business Journal with the HR Professional award.”
The professionals being recognized all deal with a wide variety of responsibilities and challenges, including employee development and retention and the most recent major issue of the 2016 U.S. Department of Labor proposal to Profiles of all the 2017 HR Professional Award winners will be featured in a special publication of the Wichita Business Journal. Honorees will also be recognized at an event schedule for October.

Hillard joined SMG Wichita in October of 2009. She previously worked for the Kansas office of Wesco Aircraft, formerly Airtechnics. Kim holds her PHR (Professional Human Resource) and SHRM-CP (HR Certified Professional) certifications and is an active member of the SHRM Society of Human Resource Managers. Additionally, she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management with a Minor in Management from Wichita State University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Newman University in Communications.
