SMG Promotes Grant Jones to Operations Supervisor

(Wichita, Kan.) – SMG announced today the promotion of Grant Jones to Operations Supervisor for INTRUST Bank Arena. Jones previously served as Operations Crew member for the venue since 2013.

“Grant is an extremely hard working individual who consistently does what it takes to get the job done and we are very pleased to announce his promotion to Operations Supervisor,” said Frank Griffith, SMG Director of Operations. “His dedication to our facility, positive attitude and continual attention to detail has made him an exemplary employee and we’re excited to continue his career growth at INTRUST Bank Arena.”

As Operations Crew member, Jones assisted with arena conversions, ensuring they ran smoothly and were completed in a timely manner, and was responsible for maintaining the exterior appearance of the facility. As Operations Supervisor, Jones will oversee all operations crew members and focus on training staff on proper use of equipment, risk management, safety precautions and procedures and emergency procedures.

Jones is from Wichita, Kan. and attended Wichita State University where he graduated on the Dean’s Honor Roll and received multiple degrees, including a B.S. in Sport Management and a Master of Education in Sport Management.
