INTRUST Bank Arena Ranked as 44th Busiest Arena in the U.S. in Mid-Year Rankings
(Wichita, Kan.) – The SMG-managed INTRUST Bank Arena is currently ranked as the 44th busiest arena in the United States and 89th in the world in the 2016 Mid-Year Pollstar Magazine Top 100 Arena Rankings. INTRUST Bank Arena was also the third highest ranked arena in the continental United States managed by SMG, the Philadelphia-based venue operator that manages more than 240 facilities, nearly 70 arenas and over 1.75 million seats worldwide.
Additionally, INTRUST Bank Arena has hosted 14 of the Top 100 Tours through the mid-year mark, including Journey & The Doobie Brothers, TobyMac, Brad Paisley, Fall Out Boy, Zac Brown Band, Barry Manilow, Dave Matthews Band, Winter Jam, Luke Bryan, The Harlem Globetrotters, WWE, Disney On Ice, Sesame Street Live and Marvel Universe Live.
“We’ve been able to attract and host a very diverse lineup of events throughout the first half of the year, including Dave Matthews Band, Journey and The Doobie Brothers, the second annual Powerhouse Jam featuring Wiz Khalifa, Fall Out Boy and a brand-new SMG promoted event, DodgeBrawl, which raised $2,250 for local charities,” said A.J. The arena has already announced an exciting lineup for the remainder of 2016. Rock legends KISS will make their first appearance in Wichita in more than 15 years when they bring their Freedom to Rock tour to INTRUST Bank Arena July 25, and country superstar Carrie Underwood returns for the first time since 2012 on Nov. 22.
